Product description

Wolfram (W), Latin Wolframium, also known by the English name Tungsten, besides fractional tungsten, we also supply it in the form of fine powder with a purity of 99.99%. This grey to silvery-white powdered metal is known for its resistance to high temperatures – it has the highest melting point of all metals, approximately 3422 °C. It is thus indispensable for high-temperature applications. Thanks to its high mechanical strength, Wolfram ranks among the hardest metals.

We supply powder tungsten in packages of 1000 g or 100 g with a purity of 99.99%. Wolfram powder is suitable for experimental and scientific purposes as well as a raw material for industrial use.

Wolfram is paramagnetic; a magnetic field weakly attracts it. It has wide applications in industry and scientific experiments. The powdered form of Wolfram is ideal for special applications, the production of sintered carbides, light bulb filaments, electrodes, contact materials, and high-temperature components. However, light bulbs with tungsten filaments are less common today due to the development of new LED technologies.

Tungsten powder is also used in the development of modern materials – adding tungsten to alloys can increase their hardness, wear resistance, and mechanical and thermal stability. These alloys are used in toolmaking, in the production of drill heads, turbine blades, and other thermally and mechanically stressed components.

The powder form of tungsten is suitable for applications where high material fineness is required, for example, in the production of sintered carbides or special coatings. Thanks to its fine structure, powdered tungsten is easily processable and usable in various industrial processes.

In nature, tungsten is rare; it is mined from minerals such as wolframite and scheelite. The world's largest deposits are located in China, Russia, and Canada.

Try tungsten powder and discover its unique properties.
