Surface electromagnetic lock EG-180-B secures spaces with a force of 150 kg. Mount the lock directly onto the surface of the door, gate, or window frame.

The door electric lock operates in fail-safe mode – it releases the passage upon power interruption – important for escape routes. If you need access control even during a power outage, connect the magnet via a UPS backup power supply. This model has optional 12 V or 24 V power supply, which can be switched according to installation needs.

How does the electromagnetic lock work in practice?

The entire system consists of two parts without moving elements, which eliminates mechanical wear. The main magnet is attached to the fixed frame, and a steel anchor (suction plate) with a tailored structure is mounted on the door leaf. It attaches strongly to the magnet even if the door leaf does not align precisely.

Thanks to its frost resistance down to -20 °C, the door electric lock will also protect an outdoor gate or window.

Use of the EG-180-B door electromagnet

The EG-180-B surface electric lock allows for visible securing of wooden, metal, glass, and fire doors. It is suitable for installations where the frame structure does not allow mortising. The entire system can be connected with appropriate accessories to modern access systems, intercoms, or card readers. If necessary, you can use optional L-brackets for installation.
