Permanent Magnetic Chuck NEOMAX-4080 for clamping steel and cast iron workpieces on machining tables and machines. The magnetic field is created by permanent magnets; no electrical power supply is required.

You can activate or deactivate the magnetic field by turning the control lever. Once activated, the chuck holds the workpiece throughout the machining process without consuming electrical energy. The total magnetic force reaches approx. 93 kN.

The clamping surface size of 400 × 800 mm is suitable for large workpieces. The chuck contains 480 magnetic poles to distribute the magnetic force across the entire working surface.

How the permanent magnetic chuck works

Inside the chuck is a system of permanent magnets. By rotating the control lever, you activate the magnetic circuit, bringing the magnetic field to the working surface or, conversely, deactivating it.

The magnetic chuck is designed for clamping ferromagnetic materials, structural steel, tool steel, or cast iron. Other metals will not be attracted to the chuck or only very weakly.

Use of the magnetic chuck
