Permanent Magnetic Chuck NEOMAX-3060 for clamping steel and cast iron workpieces on machining tables and machines. The magnetic field is created by permanent magnets; no electrical power supply is required.

The magnetic field is switched on or off by rotating the control lever. Once activated, the chuck holds the workpiece throughout the machining process without consuming electrical energy. The total magnetic force reaches approx. 55 kN.

The clamping area size of 300 × 600 mm is suitable for larger workpieces. The chuck contains 264 magnetic poles to distribute the magnetic force across the entire working surface.

How the permanent magnetic chuck works

A system of permanent magnets operates inside the chuck. By turning the control lever, you activate the magnetic circuit, thereby directing the magnetic field onto the working surface, or conversely, deactivate it.

The magnetic chuck is designed for clamping ferromagnetic materials, structural steel, tool steel, or cast iron. Other metals will not be attracted to the chuck, or only very weakly.

Use of the magnetic chuck
