Product description

Small Strong Neodymium Magnet KR-15-9/4.5-10-N – For Sauna Doors, Windows, Signs

This spatially compact yet very strong circular neodymium magnet is ideal for use in closing systems for doors, small hatches, protectors, signs, and hinges.

Customers often use this magnet for mounting on sauna doors. The magnet is heat-resistant, holding heavy glass sauna doors securely closed, yet allowing sauna enthusiasts to easily and quickly exit the sauna.

The neodymium magnet is coated with a layer of nickel. This guarantees resistance to corrosion. Its magnetic force reaches approximately 7 kg, which is impressive for a magnet with a diameter of 15 mm and a height of 10 mm. Inside the magnet there is a 4.5mm hole for easy attachment to the door, frame, or casing.

This strong neodymium magnet can also be used for:

  • Closing doors, windows
  • Fastening of hinges
  • Installing insect screens in windows
  • Attaching signs, smaller covers

Order a small, yet powerful neodymium magnet, you can attach it in moments.

CAUTION: Neodymium magnets are not for children, they have a strong magnetic force, improper use can result in pinched fingers and other injuries. We recommend starting with smaller magnets.

Neodymium ring magnets with a hole are an ideal choice for threading onto rods, ropes or wires, but they also work great as secure fixtures. If you are attaching them with a screw, remember that neodymium magnets are a brittle material – therefore, always tighten the screws "gently" and do not exceed the maximum tightening torque of 2 Nm to prevent the magnet from cracking.

Neodymium magnets are currently the strongest permanent magnets. They work without electricity and can hold many times their own weight. They are made from a mixture of neodymium, iron, and boron (NdFeB).

Neodymium magnets are suitable for:

  • creating magnetic closures for briefcases, diaries, gift boxes,

  • larger magnets as furniture magnets for cabinet doors,

  • manufacturing magnetic holders for keys, utensils, tools,

  • for fastening and attaching home decorations, curtains,

  • stronger magnets for attaching insect screens to windows,

  • in the study as office magnets,

  • for clipping notes, messages to the fridge or a magnetic board

  • and for many other uses, get inspired on our magnetic blog.

Axial and diametral magnetization

Neodymium magnets can have various magnetization directions. With axial magnetization, the poles are located on opposite surfaces (e.g., on the top and bottom of a disc magnet). In diametral magnetization, the poles are on opposite sides, on the circumference of the magnet. The direction of magnetization is important for the correct function of the magnet in a specific application.

Maximum operating temperature of magnets

Standard neodymium magnets can be used up to a maximum operating temperature of 80 °C. If you need magnets for higher temperatures, more resistant variants of neodymium magnets are available up to 200 °C, according to the table of physical data. For demanding conditions where even greater thermal resistance is required, use heat-resistant AlNiCo and SmCo magnets.

A few tips for choosing the right magnet

  • Neodymium magnets can have the shape of discs, cylinders and rods, cubes, cuboids, spheres, cones, rings.
