Neodymium ring magnet Ø 12/4 mm, h. 5 mm, pull force 3.3 kg
A round neodymium magnet is suitable for tying to a string and then attaching smaller objects to a metal door frame, refrigerator door, metal cabinet, or magnetic board. It is also suitable for fixing headphone cords to clothing, for making magnetic fish for children, levitation games with magnets, and in haberdashery. It is axially magnetized, with magnetic poles on the top and bottom circular surface.
Tip: Round magnets combine well with rod magnets. As a counterpart to ring magnets, use steel discs.
Inspiration for using round magnets – use them:
-
For making magnetic fish for children – tie a round magnet to a string and a stick, a fishing rod. Cut out fish from cardboard, paint them, decorate them, glue steel discs to them, and let's go fishing with the kids!
-
As holders for small hanging objects – thread a string with the attached object through the ring magnet, then attach the magnet to a magnetic board, metal door frame, or refrigerator door.
-
For magnetic games – place two magnets on a stick or a thick skewer with the same poles facing each other. They will repel each other.
-
As a holder for headphone cords on clothing – thread the loop of the headphone cord through the ring magnet, place the magnet on the clothing, and attach a steel disc or counterplate to the other side of the clothing.
-
For attaching curtains or drapes – tie the ends of ribbons to two ring magnets. Wrap the ribbon around the rolled-up curtain and snap the magnets together. Wrap the ribbon around the rolled-up curtain and snap the magnets together.
Thanks to a magnetic force of 3.3 kg, the ring magnet can hold even smaller utensils.
Warning: The hole in ring magnets may tempt you to screw them in. Neodymium magnets are brittle, however, and can crack if overtightened. For screwing, use more durable ring magnets in a metal casing.
Some of the ring magnets are magnetized diametrically, with magnetic poles on the side, for example KR-10-05-05-DN or KR-20-06-08-DN.
