Neodymium magnetic pot Ø 13 h. 4.5/12.5 mm M5 threaded stud, pull force 6 kg
Neodymium magnetic holders are among the most widely used types of magnetic products. They are used for the secure attachment of objects. The steel casing of the holder concentrates the magnetic force on the surface and protects the magnet from damage.
As a result, the magnetic holder has a higher holding force than neodymium magnets of the same size. At the same time, it is more durable. Holders typically feature an internal or external thread, or a hole for easy attachment, for example, when making a magnetic bracket.
We supply magnetic holders in various designs – with internal and external threads, countersunk holes, hooks, eyes, as well as disc, block, and cylindrical shapes.
Neodymium magnetic holders are suitable for:
- attaching utensils, tools, and aids for workshop equipment,
- as magnetic holders for advertising boards, signs, and banners,
- securing lighting, cameras, sensors, or cables,
- mounting lightweight structures without drilling,
- production, warehouses, service centres, and industrial plants,
- household, garage, and hobby use,
- attaching decorations, sheets, or protective nets
- and many other applications – get inspired by our magnetic guide.
Magnetic holders have a high holding force
The steel shell concentrates the magnetic flux into the working surface – the substrate, allowing the magnetic holder to achieve a higher holding force than a standard neodymium magnet.
The stated holding force applies under ideal conditions – on a clean, smooth, and sufficiently thick steel surface, in a horizontal position. In practice, this may be influenced by the material thickness, air gap, paint, impurities, or surface irregularities, as well as the shear force in the vertical direction.
Holding force vs. shear force of magnets – how many kg can magnets hold?
Maximum operating temperature of magnetic holders
Standard neodymium magnetic holders are designed for use up to a maximum operating temperature of 80 °C. Higher temperatures can cause a permanent loss of magnetic properties. If you require magnetic holders for more demanding conditions, contact us – we will be happy to recommend a suitable solution.
A Few Tips for Choosing the Right Magnetic Holder
- When choosing, consider not only the holding force but also the mounting method and the dimensions of the magnetic holder.
- For use in damp environments, we recommend waterproof, rubber-coated magnetic holders.
- The rubberised surface protects painted and sensitive surfaces from scratching and simultaneously increases slip resistance.
- Larger magnetic holders adhere best to thicker ferromagnetic material, such as thick steel plates, beams, or traverses.
- Exercise increased caution and use protective gloves when handling larger magnetic holders. Strong neodymium holders can pinch fingers.
- Neodymium magnets and holders must be kept out of reach of children!
We hope your magnetic holder serves you well.
