When used outdoors, it is better to use a neodymium magnet with a Teflon surface (Zn-PTFE), such as this neodymium magnetic disc with a diameter of 10 mm and a height of 3 mm. It is more durable, additionally abrasion-resistant, yet still with a large magnetic force of approx. 1.8 kg.
Neodymium magnets with a Teflon coating have a graphite appearance, which helps them blend better with their surroundings.
