Do you need to integrate a magnet into a product or construction that blends seamlessly with the surface? The smooth cylindrical neodymium holder with a diameter of 10 mm and a height of 20 mm has a force of 2.4 kg*, designed for installation into pre-drilled holes.
Thanks to the steel casing, the magnet is protected against impacts and its magnetic force is concentrated on one side. This increases its effectiveness compared to a standard magnet without a casing.
This type of holder, often called a "magnetic lens," is ideal for applications where you do not want a visible thread or screw. You can insert, press, or glue the holder into the prepared hole.
Advantages of magnetic holders
- High concentration of force: The steel housing acts as a magnetic circuit, directing the force of the neodymium core to the front of the holder.
- Mechanical resistance: Neodymium magnets are brittle, but in this design, they are embedded in a steel housing that protects them from cracking on impact.
- Clean design: Smooth side walls allow the holder to be recessed so that it is flush with the surrounding material (wood, plastic, metal).
- Surface finish: The nickel-plated surface ensures an aesthetic appearance and basic protection against moisture. We recommend for interior use.
Magnetic holders are suitable:
In furniture and carpentry, magnetic lenses are suitable as invisible stops and for closing cabinet doors. Simply recess them into the material and secure with a drop of glue.
In industrial production, they are used for fixing parts in jigs where you want a smooth mounting surface without protruding threads.
In the production of gift items and packaging, they are used for strong yet detachable connections of wooden or plastic components.
In model making and design for creating hidden magnetic connections that do not interfere with the visual appearance of the object.
*The stated pull-off force of 2.4 kg was measured with a perpendicular pull-off from an ideal surface – a strong steel plate. If you place the magnet on a vertical surface where shear load (sliding) acts, the actual load capacity may drop to approx. 15–25% of the original value depending on the surface roughness.
Utilize strong magnetic holders for clean technical solutions.
