Magnetic pole indicator, mechanical, with a rotating head
Mechanical magnetic pole indicator for easy and quick determination of magnet polarity. Inside the structurally rotating head, a small permanent magnet with colored pole markings is suspended – the red side of the indicator will turn towards the south pole of the magnet, the blue side of the indicator will turn towards the north pole of the external magnet, whose poles you wish to determine.
Thanks to the rotating head, which can pivot on two axes, the indicator adapts to the direction of the magnetic field and slight tilt. The results are thus accurate even with different magnet positions. You will appreciate this especially when checking the assembly of magnetic circuits or when working in the field.
The indicator works without power and operates purely on a mechanical principle. It is lightweight, easily portable, and practical for schools, physics education, technical operations, and home use.
Tip: Since the mechanical indicator contains a small magnet, when detecting poles, it is advisable to hold the magnet being tested firmly in place. Otherwise, if brought too close, the indicator may snap onto the magnet.
The hole in the holder allows for hanging or mounting in the workshop. Supplied with a case. The indicator will be a good aid when you need to quickly determine how the magnet is oriented.
Determine the poles of magnets easily and quickly.
