At normal temperature and pressure, gallium (Ga) is a soft, silvery, non-toxic metal. At its melting point of 29.8 °C, it turns silvery white. Gallium is used in electronics for semiconductor production, as galinstan as a replacement for toxic mercury in thermometers, and for producing single-crystal wafers, for trials and experiments.

Czech Gallium, Latin Gallium, English Gallium
In alloy form with tin and bismuth, gallium is a material for producing dental fillings, as a non-toxic replacement for amalgam, which contains toxic mercury.
Gallium and its alloys, thanks to their low melting point, are suitable for casting into various three-dimensional shapes and for 3D printing purposes.
This metal is also used by scientists for the detection of solar neutrinos, for example in the Gallium-Germanium Neutrino telescope at the Baksan Neutrino Observatory in Russia. The mentioned detector, according to available information, contains the largest amount of liquid gallium gathered in one place in the world – 55–57 tons, approximately 2 kilometers below the Earth's surface.
Chemists have discovered a trick – they make tea spoons from gallium that look like aluminum ones. When a guest puts the spoon into a cup of hot tea, it dissolves. However, "gallium" tea is neither suitable nor safe for further consumption.
Gallium is also useful for your experiments with magnetism, for example in conjunction with ferrofluid.
Gallium is a diamagnetic metal; it slightly weakens external magnetic fields and is weakly repelled by magnets.
