Ferrite block magnet 40 × 19 × 4.9 mm, pull force 2.1 kg
While ferrite block magnets have lower magnetic strength compared to neodymium magnets, they resist corrosion, moisture, and temperatures up to 250 °C. A block measuring 40 × 19 × 4.9 mm has a magnetic force of approximately 2.1 kg, a weight of 17 g and magnetisation Y30.
Ferrite magnets withstand common weather conditions and do not require any surface treatment. The ceramic material does not corrode, so you can use the magnet both indoors and outdoors. In many applications, they represent a more cost-effective solution than stronger neodymium magnets, provided that maximum holding force is not required.
The longer block shape facilitates installation into strips, jigs, or structural components. The magnet is also suitable for manufacturing simple holders, closures, or various technical aids where reliable function and moisture resistance are important.
Ferrite magnets are suitable:
- for outdoor use, as they resist corrosion,
- during the production of magnetic fixtures and workshop aids,
- as magnetic closures for covers, doors, or boxes,
- into guide rails and structural elements,
- for attaching light to medium-weight objects,
- for DIY and hobby projects,
- for school teaching, physics and electrical engineering experiments,
- for collecting small metal components,
- during the manufacture of electrical equipment.
You can glue the magnet using magnet glue.
Warning: Do not bring weaker ferrite magnets close to strong neodymium magnets, as this may lead to the demagnetisation of the ferrite magnet.
The ferrite magnet has axial magnetisation Y30 with poles on opposite flat surfaces.
The extended block shape facilitates integration into strips, jigs, or technical products where corrosion resistance and long-term functionality are essential.
