Ferrite block magnet 120 × 20 × 5 mm, strength 4.8 kg
Although rectangular ferrite magnets have a lower magnetic force compared to neodymium magnets, they are resistant to corrosion, moisture, and temperatures up to 250 °C. A block with dimensions of 120 × 20 × 5 mm has a magnetic force of approximately 4.8 kg, a weight of 55 g and a magnetisation of Y30.
Ferrite magnets are resistant to moisture, rain and common chemical influences. The ceramic material does not corrode without a surface treatment, so the magnet also works in outdoor environments or operations with increased humidity.
A length of 120 mm allows for longer attachment, which is beneficial, for example, when mounting into guide rails, profiles, jigs or various technical constructions. The smaller thickness of 5 mm also makes it easier to embed the magnet into wood, plastics or composite materials.
Ferrite magnets are suitable:
- for outdoor use, as they resist corrosion,
- for guide rails and structural profiles,
- during the production of long magnetic jigs,
- as magnetic stops and closures,
- for attaching longer covers or panels,
- during the production of technical equipment,
- for workshop and assembly jigs,
- for physics and electrotechnical experiments,
- for various industrial applications.
You can glue the magnet using magnet glue.
Warning: Do not bring weaker ferrite magnets close to strong neodymium magnets, as this may lead to the demagnetisation of the ferrite magnet.
The ferrite magnet has a magnetisation of Y30 and is axially magnetised with poles on opposite flat surfaces.
The long block magnet is suitable for mounting in rails, profiles or technical units, where corrosion resistance, long service life and uniform magnetic force along the entire length are advantages.
